Tohru ShirasakiFrom 2023 on October, a Berlin-based SSW/composer Tohru Shirasaki has been playing whimsically at small venues or bars using his tiny acoustic guitar. His self-solo project, the winey bean project was primarily based in Sapporo, Japan since 2012. After a hiatus of this project at the end of 2014, gradually Tohru was becoming to have curiousy about Japan's Onsen and its culture. As a result he moved to Nukabira, one of the most rural village of Tokachi region, located in East Hokkaido. In those days he was active and into making compositions at a small-sized village house while working at a Japanese inn, his ex-job. The first album, Imakara-Kokokara has a characteristic worldview that described a richness of nature and there's life, was released in Spring of 2020. It mainly has a pastoral acoustic sound, also exists an essence from roots-music like Jazz, traditional folk, latin-music like Brazilian, Argentinian, as well as Indie / Alternative's atmosphere.
