Artist Profile

Rob-OKim Robert Odindo, better known by his stage name Rob-O, is an american rapper from Mount Vernon, New York. He is best known for being a member of the underground hip-hop group InI and for his affiliation with Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth, featuring on their two albums and Pete Rock's "Soul Survivor". InI's album, entirely produced by Pete Rock, is considered one of the most bootleged album ever as well as a lost classic from the Golden Age of Hip-Hop. With the rise of streaming and digital platforms, the album earned a wider fanbase, reaching millions of new listeners over the past years. Following InI's album "The Life I Live" (mistitled "Center of Attention"), the group members went their separate ways. Rob-O went solo recording many singles with St Nick Entertainement. However, none of his solo releases were official ones ("Superspectacular" & "Rhyme Pro" included). Known for his mellow voice and spiritual lyrics, Rob-O also wrote most of Pete Rock's lyrics from the 90's-early 00's era. After years of anticipation, he's set to drop his very first official solo single "Rocket Science" ! Produced by Lex from the crew Kalhex-who already signed their iconic collab track "La Fine Ligne" in 2012- this single is the first glimpse into Rob-O's forthcoming project "I Hear Voices," his long-awaited first official release ever !
