ChiaChia. Born in Gifu City. Real name: Chiaki Hibino. Started playing the piano at the age of three and showed her talent from an early age, winning the top prize in the Gifu Prefecture Elementary and Junior High School Composition Competition. Started performing while a student at Nagoya College of Music, and made her CD debut as a jazz singer in 2005 with Pure Moon, produced by Atsushi Tsuzura. She has toured throughout Japan and performed at the Nagoya Blue Note, NHK-Session and other venues. She has participated in the Meiho Kogen Music Festival for three consecutive years since 2006, and her collaborations with famous artists such as Shunzo Ohno, Makoto Ozone and Ayaka Hirahara have attracted a great deal of attention.
