Azusa YamadaAzusa Yamada majored in marimba and studied under Keiko Abe and Mayumi Hama at the College Diploma Program of the Faculty of Music at Toho Gakuen School of Music. While still a student, she participated in "WUJA BIN BIN" and "Shibusa Shirazu Orchestra", and released live performances and albums with her own bands nouon and Azusa Yamada Quintet. Since 2016, she has released the "Azusa Yamada and Pearl Alexander at Sakaiki" series. She has supported artists such as Gen Hoshino and Masakatsu Takagi, and performed at Glastonbury Festival, FUJI ROCK, and other venues both in Japan and abroad. In recent years, she has been creating musical picture books and engaging in new activities with the new trio "ICI".
