microbright/Mikro BritzA two-piece band featuring violin and piano, founded in 2020 in Shimamoto Town, Mishima District, Osaka Prefecture, by violinist HIBIKI (Hibiki Murase). Together with pianist Maru (Takahisa Maruno), the duo focuses on original compositions while ambitiously exploring a wide range of genres, including Argentine tango, jazz, pop, and classical music. Their work has received recognition across various platforms, including Yahoo News, CD Journal, and live music venues where they have performed. Since 2021, they have been hosting a series of solo live performances.
HIBIKI collaborated with world-renowned guitarist Kyoji Yamamoto on the 2021 album Hope Is Marching On, an achievement that was featured on the front page of Yomiuri Shimbun. As a group, they appeared in NHKs 2023 drama series Boogie Woogie. with HIBIKI playing the role of a concertmaster for string instruments and Maru portraying a jazz pianist.
Both members have made numerous media appearances. On September 15.2024the duo changed their name from MIXJUiCE...acousticto MikroBritz.marking a fresh start as they continue to make their mark on Japans music scene.
