Taichi KunigamiHe studied classical piano from early childhood, building a strong foundation in music. At 14, he discovered the guitar, and within three months began performing on the streets. The spirit of blues he learned from a homeless man he met during that time became the origin of his musical expression. At 20, he walked across Japan. Those days spent moving in rhythm with nature continue to live at the core of his creative work. Beyond Music In his 20s, he became the director of a nursing-care facility. He temporarily stepped away from music and devoted himself to witnessing and engaging deeply with stories of life and death. Return to Music In 2018, he resumed his career in earnest and has released numerous works since. He actively expanded his live performances, including sold-out one-man shows at Nagoya CLUB QUATTRO and Diamond Hall. International Activities & Collaborations In 2023, under the executive production of Shingo Yasumoto, he collaborated with notable artists in Japan and abroad. He sold out a one-man show in Tokyo and went on to perform at live events and festivals in London and Lithuania. Through songwriting and production with local artists, he expanded his international musical exchange. In 2024, he adopted the artist name Taichi Kunigami. He launched the New Moon / Full Moon Project, a unique creative rhythm: releasing music albums on new moons and short films on full moons. In 2025, he won 1st place in the Guitarist category at one of Europe's largest music competitions, with over 20,000 entries across 13 European countries. In the same year, he began the multidisciplinary art series Map of Time, blending music, storytelling, and AI. The series has received high recognition at international film festivals across Europe and the United States, including awards nominations and official selections.
