Joseph Cotton is a house hold name in his native island of jamaica started his musical mission back in 1976 with Joe Gibbs. It was in 1979 that he score his first major hit with a song titled [All kind a people come a dance] under the name Jah Walton he then move to harry moodies where he did stay a yard and praise the drifter a cover of Dennis walks drifter Jah Walton as he was call then has work for all of the great producers people such as the musical ambassador Kings Tubbys, Lloyd Campbell, Derrick Harriott, Carlton Patterson, Sonia Pottinger from the Duke Reid studio Phil Pratt before leaving for england in the mid 80s where he change his name to Joseph Cotton and enjoy a string of number 1 hits songs like [Shubbeen stamina]with Maxi Priest dont touch the stlye pot a cook things running slow half slim which was also number 1 in the United States of America. He never stop from recording and touring with many different sound systems mainly in europe where he had his fan base his last album that was produce by Atili Bandalero. It was nominated the best digital album of 2014 on the french music scean.
