The band name KAMELEO is a coined word that is a twist on the word chameleon, and the group started in earnest on January 10, 2012 with the concept of "transformable." Although they are a band, they maintain an anything-goes stance, incorporating social satire into the songs and lyrics that the five members sing and dance to, and have gained popularity as a maverick in the visual kei scene.
