Kazuko Nakase

Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, Department of Instrumental Music, majoring in flute. Studied flute under Masao Yoshida, Masaru Kawasaki, Chang-Kook Kim, and Hiroshi Hasegawa. She studied chamber music under Edith Picht-Axenfeldt and Ryohei Nakagawa, and passed the NHK audition. In addition to performing classical music, including solos, chamber music, orchestras, and premieres of new compositions by composers, she actively collaborates with other fields, such as photographers, storytellers, and Noh performers of the Kanze school. She has also participated in the recording of game and animation music by composer Masashi Hamauzu, whose work "Mokugen Duet 1957" (for violin and flute) is used on the SONY α-CLOCK website. After serving as a member of the Yokohama Volunteer Association Charity Concert Executive Committee, she served as the Executive Director of the Fujisawa City Triangle Concert until 2013. In 2012, she won the Judges' Special Prize in the Professional Division of The Alexander & Buono International Flute Competition (New York). She is also actively involved in studio recording. Schoolgirl Strikers (Mitsudo Suzuki/Square Enix), Final Fantasy (Masashi Hamauzu/Square Enix), the anime "The God of Poverty! (Masashi Hamauzu), etc. 2019 film "Katsuben!" (directed by Masayuki Suo and music directed by Yoshikazu Suo / winner of the Japan Academy Prize for Best Director, Best Music, etc.), in which he participated by coaching actors in acting and performing musical accompaniment. She has also been actively involved in planning and performing new projects, such as concerts with Aya Horigome (harp) in the main halls of temples, Bach projects with composer and pianist shezoo at live houses, charity concerts for disaster relief in church chapels, and solo performances on the alto flute and bass flute. She is also actively involved in new projects and performances.
