NEMUTAI HONENemutai Hone Formed in April 2025, Nemutai Hone is a rock band based in Kyoto, Japan, performing the songs of singer-songwriter Chiaki Sano. The band consists of: Chiaki Sano (vocals, guitar) Heidi (vocals, synthesizer) mishio (drums) Leona (bass) osamuosanai (vocals, guitar) Originally from Fujinomiya, Shizuoka, Chiaki Sano began performing in Tokyo in 2009. In 2010, Sano formed the three-piece band Shiro (White) and began performing regularly. Their first album, Okujo no Shugo Kyokushu, was released in 2013. After relocating to Kyoto in 2016, Sano continued performing with The Chiaki Sano Band. In 2019, Sano released the second album Konen (Light Years), featuring recording contributions from Kyoto band Honjitsu Kyuen and Kitakyushu-based band Pisces (Uoza). The band became inactive during the COVID-19 pandemic, while Sano continued touring throughout Japan as a solo artist. In 2025, Sano finally formed Nemutai Hone, bringing together members of KASHIKOI ULYSSES (osamuosanai and mishio), singer-songwriter Heidi, and guitar builder Leona. The band's debut EP,TOI TOMODACHI (Distant Friends), will be released in January 2026.
