NOROMAOnce a prominent voice in the legendary avant-garde theater troupe Tenjo Sajiki led by Shuji Terayama, Ranshiro built an undeniable legacy as a multidisciplinary creator. Now, as he approaches the age of 80, he has unlocked a new artistic weapon: words crafted to echo far into the future.
At the heart of the musical project NOROMA are the poetic concepts and spoken words of Ranshiro. Dai Nagamine, an active versatile creator, transforms these ideas into raw rap flows and initial songwriting frameworks. Musician and guitarist yukitaro then weaves these distinct elements together, reconstructing them through meticulous sound design into highly refined, professional works of art.
While anchored by the unconventional, boundary-pushing rap delivery of Nagamine, the sonic palette of NOROMA is strikingly dynamic, incorporating advanced vocal synthesis (Synthesizer V) alongside featured guest vocalists. Enhanced by the razor-sharp, emotionally charged guitar work of yukitaro, their sound refuses to be confined by standard genre definitions.
