Catherina Early Music Consort1973年 中世・ルネサンス音楽を演奏する「カテリーナ古楽合奏団」結成。カテリーナは、中世・ルネサンス時代の復元楽器を使用。西洋音楽に登場する現代の楽器は東方に起源があり、東方の音の名残のある中世・ルネサンスの楽器は、精選された白米にはない、雑穀米のような味わいと温もりのある音を放つ。カテリーナ古楽合奏団の音楽は、クラシック音楽、民族音楽、はたまた現代のジャズやポップスにも繋がる。
