ummummummumm is a new rock project led by guitarist and vocalist Nee.
Rooted in guitar rock designed for the live house stage, the project explores a genre-fluid, alternative sound to build a distinctive sonic world.
Under the previous project name Nazuna, Nee undertook an unusual release strategy, dropping a 1st album digitally over 11 consecutive weeks. The project gained strong traction across streaming platforms, earning placements on numerous playlists.
On Apple Music, the songs were featured on Breaking: J-Rock for 24 consecutive weeks, with 8 out of 11 tracks also appearing on Latest Songs: J-Pop.
On Spotify, multiple tracks were included in official playlists such as She Rocks and Sekirara. The 6-track album including "Artificial Human" also received notable attention.
In addition, ummumm was selected as a Best Act at AWA MOSH PIT, a live house event organized by JAPAN LIVE HOUSE INTERSECTION × AWA, gaining recognition both in live performance and streaming spaces.
For the latest release Collage, all lyrics and music were written by Nee, pushing a more personal narrative while further deepening the expression of guitar rock.
In 2026, the project was rebranded as ummumm, marking a new chapter that expands its artistic freedom and creative scope, building on everything achieved so far.
