AB-FryerFormed in 2025, AB-Fryer is a jazz duo consisting of Yuki Nakane (saxophone) and So Ebihara (drums).
Deeply influenced by the contemporary UK jazz scene, drawing from artists such as Binker and Moses and Sons of Kemet their sound moves beyond the avant-garde expectations often associated with their instrumentation. Instead, they develop a melodic and rhythmically driven approach through their own original compositions.
The unit's name is derived from Nakane's roots in Nagoya, reflecting the local dialect as well as a reference to ebi (shrimp) from Ebihara name.
Their debut EP AGETATE is scheduled for release this spring.
