Chie Nakajima spent her early childhood in New York, USA, where she began studying piano and violin at the age of four, developing a foundation in classical music.
She graduated from the Department of Composition, Faculty of Music at Tokyo University of the Arts.
In 2012, she moved to the United Kingdom and spent three years in London, during which she created numerous collaborative works with choreographers and visual artists.
In recent years, she has composed music for a wide range of performing arts, including music theater, drama, contemporary dance, flamenco, and butoh. In addition, she is active as a singer-songwriter, writing and composing her own original works.
