Artist Profile
Hyakunen No KodokuHyakunen No Kodoku (One Hundred Years of Solitude) emerged suddenly in October 2025. Even before any official recordings were released, the project began making waves in Tokyo's underground scene through visceral performances at venues like Shibuya WWW and events such as AVYSS Circle.
The collective consists of four established solo artists: One Boiling Point, toulavi, loli-shugo, and Sato Ryuga. In an era where music can be completed entirely in digital isolation, they have deliberately chosen the path of coming together. By incorporating live instrumentation and embracing even the "errors" of performance, they aim to "return" all musical genres back to a singular, foundational point.
Their sound presents a new equilibrium in music, deviating from existing categories. By applying sound processing unique to electronic music to skeletal structures meticulously built on the desktop, they maintain an improvisational spirit and precise refinement. In live performances, they deliver a deeper, immersive experience by mixing sound with visuals that evolve in real-time.
At its core is the digital pulse of Ableton Live, interwoven with glitch-laden flugelhorn, fuzz-drenched electric guitar, and raw, organic percussion. Swallowing genres whole, these elements mark a definitive step toward the horizon of "Post Jazz."
