Artist Profile
Kota ItoComposer, Keyboardist, and Sound Engineer.
Currently a senior in the Department of Composition, Faculty of Music at Tokyo University of the Arts.
With a background in piano and choral music from early childhood, Kota further developed his musical foundation by immersing himself in the jazz and funk communities during his university years.
In 2024, he launched "Cultivate," a project focused on the fusion of classical and pop music. He also serves as a songwriter and composer for the band "WOAH." His work in multimedia includes sound design and video editing for the 2025 art project "Human Emergence" at Tokyo Geidai, as well as composing the full score for the contemporary dance performance "In the Distance" (choreographed and directed by Mana Hashimoto) at NPO DANCE BOX in Kobe.
In addition to composing and performing, Kota is actively involved in concert management and technical production, handling mixing and mastering for various projects to provide a comprehensive creative and technical approach to music making.
