birds melt skybirds melt sky is a Tokyo-based duo formed by Shingo Maeda and Aki Miyazoe. Blending elements of electronica, dub, and post-rock with didgeridoo and tribal rhythms, they craft a uniquely atmospheric soundscape rich in both groove and weightlessness. Their music has received acclaim on French TV and YouTube, garnering attention both in Japan and abroad. Since 2018, they have hosted regular events inviting international artists. In recent years, they have successfully toured Taiwan and Japan with Spookey Ruben. Their latest release in 2025, −youth−, explores a new frontier by fusing ethereal electronic textures with Jersey beats.
