TAKAO KAWASAKITakao Kawasaki is the pianist and composer for FLAT122, a progressive unit representing Tokyo. FLAT122 is particularly highly regarded overseas and supported by a core fanbase thirsting for new music. While He has long led performance units, he has also written numerous "songs" alongside this work. From a collection of songs that lay dormant deep beneath the lake, releases began using Vocaloid starting in November 2025. He creates beautiful music with intricate lines and harmonies, digesting and absorbing influences ranging from The Beatles to contemporary classical, rock, jazz, Showa-era pop songs, and ethnic music. His composing journey began at age 13 upon encountering Francis Lai. To this day, he retains a deep affection for film music.
