He later studied music in Los Angeles, where exposure to global sounds and expressions helped develop a unique musical identity.

Inspired by the melodies and harmonies of Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, Bee Gees, and Carpenters, as well as the expressive depth of Alicia Keys, Daniel Caesar, and Adele, he has also drawn influence from the lyrical power of hip-hop artists like The Notorious B.I.G., Nas, and Lil Wayne, and the passion of rock acts such as Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Avenged Sevenfold.
