This music project begins with the world imagined by rie nakama. Web novelist Fragment Mizusawa transforms that world into words and entrusts them to the voice of yoru.
Through intimate melodies and carefully written lyrics, yoru. gives form to feelings that are often left unspoken. Loneliness after returning home. The distance between people. Words that arrived too late. The quiet thoughts that remain after the day has ended.
Music is released through the fictional label midnight records.
yoru. moves between three different musical worlds.
Under the name yoru., she performs intimate lo fi and J R and B music. Her sound blends bedroom pop, neo soul, jazz, and city pop influences. These songs stay close to the listener and gently accompany quiet nights.
With yoru. with midnight band set, she explores a more mature and organic sound. Piano, upright bass, brushed drums, and the atmosphere of a late night bar shape these songs. They portray the subtle distance between two people, restrained emotions, and feelings that become clearer after midnight.
Through fragment storysong, fictional stories are transformed into music. Each song captures the emotions, questions, and choices carried by its characters. The music is not simply a retelling of the original story. It allows the feelings inside the story to continue beyond its final page.
