Yogetsu Akasaka

The first full-recorded work of 'Heart Sutra', re-arranged by voice of his own. Yogetsu Akasaka became a Zen sect monk, after The Great East Japan earthquake(2011). He performed as a Human Beatboxer at 8 foreign cities, and also performed stage play at Fukushima. After practicing asceticism for 2 years in Fukui-ken, he researched at temple in North America and San Francisco Zen Center, well known as a temple that Steve Jobs was attended. From 2018, he started music performance again at Japan, including Tokyo, his native place. By using an equipment called 'Loop Station', he established his own style of music, creating sutra by using his voice and human beatbox spontaneously, and named his live performance 'Sound-Mandala'. He attracted public attention by his performance at many events, such as 'Very Techno Buddhist Mass' at 2019 Niconico Chokaigi, J-WAVE INNOVATION WORLD FESTA 2019. 2020, he published a movie called 'Heart Sutra Beatbox Remix'. This movie was watched more than 5 billion views at Bilibili(popular video site of China), 300 million views and 10 million shares at Facebook. He also started live streaming, joining music and talk of Buddhism and performance, using his language skills. His supporter is keep increasing now, around Buddhist countries of Asia.Yogetsu Akasaka, fascinated the public by his live performance. This first full-recorded work of 'Hear Sutra', is made by his own voice. Every sounds except handpan, is played and made by his own voice, icluded beat, mandala, chorus. 'Heart Sutra', essence of Buddhism mixed with Sanskrit, is a song touching people of the world, beyond the walls of language.
