In 1997, Yae Koitabashi began her musical career as the vocalist of Tampalon, releasing two CDs, ROOTS and pulse. She visited Okinawa, the home of her fellow band members, many times, where she was deeply influenced by the warmth of its people, as well as its nature, history, and culture. Her unique musical journey included performing live on Aguni Island in Okinawa.
In 2007, she began her solo career.
As Yae Koitabashi & The MoonNotes, she released two albums, Quiet Vibes and natural lives, featuring Celtic songs and original Japanese lyrics written for them.
In February 2026, she released her latest album, Naohikaru.
Through her music, she continues to share songs that are gentle and profound, reaching quietly into the heart.
