Kinohachi

Born in Negishi, Tokyo 1971. Kinohachi started playing the shakuhachi as a toy at the age of 4 and studied under Kifu Mitsuhashi at the age of 20. He received attention as a young shakuhachi player. He has been an active participant in a movement to pass on "Minyo" traditional folk music, in an attempt to pass on local traditional dance and song to children 100 years in the future.
