Blakjap
Formed originally in 1996, this group revived in when Root-one met Otak in Tokyo. Although both of them grew up in Los Angeles, they decided to move to Japan to pursue a career in the film and music industry. Their highly anticipated first album, Tokyo Tower, was released in 2012. Their style is Hip Hop based with a thematic over tone. All songs are fused with Japanese and English on a 50/50 scale, bringing a balance to a style that has long been attempted. Blakjap is the group that bridges the gap between Japanese and Western culture.
