Toshiyuki Honda

Saxophonist, composer/arranger, producer, visiting professor at Tokyo University of the Arts. In 1978, when he was in college, he released his first leader album "BURNIN' WAVES". Since then, he has performed with well-known musicians in Japan and abroad. Saxophonist representing Japan. In particular, his soprano saxophone has an established reputation for the beauty of its tone, and there is no one to surpass him. As a composer and arranger, he is well known for his versatility in movies such as "A Taxing Woman " (directed by Juzo Itami) and "Metropolis" (directed by Rintaro), as well as TV dramas, commercials, movies, and classical music. . His latest work is "GEIDAI PLAYS HONDA" (22), a collaboration with the Tokyo University of the Arts Special Wind Orchestra. On the Crescent label, he participated in the original albums "SONGS OF THE MILKEYWAY" and "SMILE!" and the soundtracks "Kiseki" and "Kiseki 2".
