Tomy chordBorn in Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture. He picked up the guitar at the age of 13 and has since consistently pursued musical expression centered on words and melody. Date of Birth: December 21, 1976 Place of Birth: Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture, Japan Blood Type: O Career Overview Song2Souls Era In 2000, after graduating from an art university, he formed the music unit Song2Souls while studying at ESP Musical Academy. He served as the musical core of the group, handling lyrics, composition, guitar, lead vocals, and backing vocals. On April 1, 2001, Song2Souls released their 1st mini album Sora (Sky) through the in-house indie label GREEN BEAN RECORDS. Of the five tracks included, he composed four and wrote lyrics for two. On March 30, 2007, Song2Souls entered an indefinite hiatus. Label Affiliation and Live Activities In 2004, he signed with a music production company. During this period, he regularly organized and produced an original live event series titled RESPECT 80s, featuring covers of 1980s music. The event held at Art Stage Birth in Daikanyama received high praise for both its strong audience turnout and his abilities in event planning and promotion. On June 20, 2006, he released the single Yume no Kakera (Fragments of a Dream), for which he wrote the lyrics of the title track. Solo and Songwriting Activities Following the hiatus of Song2Souls, he took over his family business while simultaneously expanding his career as a solo artist and songwriter. On April 25, 2010, he provided songs produced by Koichi Shibata to QSCS, an idol unit originating from the maid cafe Maidreamin. For their 1st single, he wrote the lyrics for two songs: Sweet Days POPPIN x DREAMIN These works were subsequently released via mobile music downloads and karaoke distribution. Recent Activities On April 1, 2025, marking the 25th anniversary of his music career, he officially relaunched his activities as an artist under KAZE JAPAN RECORDS, represented by Koichi Shibata, also known as Quiqman. In 2026, he is scheduled to release four new songs. These works are expected to fuse his long cultivated pop sensibility with a more mature and refined approach to lyric writing.
