The Flavr BlueSeattle-based Pacific elites The Flavr Blue have been making waves with their cool-water electronic-pop and R&B since 2012. Their sophomore album Blue Dream set for release on October 27th. Much like its namesake, the album provides a relaxing high and a subtly invigorating rush, highlighted by punchy electronics and rooftop-ready West Coast hip-hop.
Blue Dream is a 14-track collection fronted by Grammy-nominated Hollis Wong Wear while producers/vocalists Lace Cadence and Parker Joe triangulate between pulsing electronic pop, chilled out R&B, and melodic hip-hop. Tracks like "Simple Love" and "Picture Perfect" bloom with lush intimacy while "143" finds them riding out in that perfect purple twilight, smoke twirling between words unsaid. The album boasts a fluid cast of all-stars including The Last Artful, Dodgr, YMTK, Jay Park, Cha Cha Malone, and Sweater Beats.
