SUGIMOTO FAMILY & The Best Friends

[Sugimoto Family Profile] This charming family of four (parents Keiko and Tomotaka, daughters Lisako and Emiko), with its unique and exciting stage presence, is led by stage director, songwriter and composer Tomotaka Sugimoto (Tomotaka Suzuki). Together with a backing chorus, they combine jazz and tap dance with incredible vocals to form a Super Family Choir. Their repertoire largely centers on gospel music, allowing the opportunity for solo vocal performances full of personality. Since 2003, the family has appeared every year at the annual charity concert hosted by the Sugimoto Family Choir. During Golden Week in 2010, as part of the Disney Resort Music Festival program, they appeared on the Tokyo Disneyland Golden Nugget stage. In 2015, Emiko Suzuki won the vocal division of the "Gospel Koshien" National Gospel Contest. In September 2016, her participation in TV Asahi's "Kanjani Eight's The Mozart No. 1 Music King Decision Match" drew considerable attention and earned her the title of "strongest amateur female high school student" due to her consistently high vocal scores. In February of 2017, she appeared in a Koikeya TV commercial. In September she was joined by Lisako, and the sisters were featured together in a second Koikeya commercial. Yorokobi Afureru (Overflowing Joy) is the first full-length album released by the exceptional Sugimoto Family.
