Sotaro Kitatoko

Japanese jazz violinist, Sotaro Kitatoko was born in 1980.He began to learn the violin at the age of five. At university,  He encountered jazz violin through Stephane Grappelli. After studying with John Blake in the United States,2005 He won three awards including the best player award in the competition of the biggest jazz festival in Japan. (Yokohama jazz promenade)He also interacts with international players such as Christian Howes, Mads Tolling and Tim Kliphuis.Sotaro is known as those who can also play Jazz Manouche (Gypsy Jazz) In 2007, his performance was recorded on the album of the hot club record in Norway. (Django Festival vol.5) playing Modern Jazz , Smooth Jazz , Jazz Manouche .cooperated artist of YAMAHA Silent Violin, Electric Violin.
