Ryo SonodaBorn in Japan in 1986. Ryo is a Japanese pianist, keyboardist, arranger and composer.
Ryo won first prize on synthesizer contest while he was at the University of Tokyo and started his carrier as a professional musician at Nippon-Budokan, one of the biggest stage in Japan. Ryo made his debut as a leader of an instrumental band "Sonodaband", consisting of keyboards, guitar, bass, drums, violin and cello. Ryo composed all music played by Sonodaband with eclectic mix of pop, rock, jazz, latin, tango and techno. Sonodaband made thier world debut at SXSW(2010) and performed worldwide (United States, Africa, Asia and etc.). They released three albums and collaborated with various
artists. Sonodaband disbanded on March 2014.
Ryo released his first solo piano album, "Do (Not) Let Me Go" in 2013. Ryo is a solo performer in jazz, improvisation, classical music, pops and so on. He has performed solo piano concerts and collaborates not only with domestic and worldwide musicians but also with many professionals like great novelists and video creators. Ryo composes for commercial messages, dramas and game music and etc. And now he extends his activity to lectures and writings.
Ryo will release two albums, "YOU" and "I", on December 2014
