Shonai no Memories

The Shonai district is located in the Yamagata prefecture, the northeastern area of Japan. The short film "N-mecha!" ("Yummy!" in English) focuses on this beautiful Shonai dialect and shot in Sakata city in the Shonai district with local actors. In the film, a band named "Shonai no Memories" performs a song "SAGADACTION! -Act it out loud in Sakata-" as a part of the local development project. Nanako Suzuki, the writer and director of the film and Emi Shirasaki, a singer from Sakata city are starring as the vocalists. Ayato Abe, the lyricist, composer and programmer of the song is also apperring as the guitarist.
