RIVIED
"A band that strives to get people moving forward, living their lives to the fullest. A band that touches people's hearts, a 'sound' that rocks people at their very souls." That is the motto of RIVIED, a band from Sendai in the Tohoku (North East) region in Japan, a band that believes in bringing their music to the people of the world. RIVIED was originally formed in 1997. After being active for three years, RIVIED disbanded, and was resurrected in 2008 after an almost ten year break. RIVIED performed in various venues, but following the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11, 2011, they began to focus on charity performances. Thinking "First things first, if local bands don't start recovering...," RIVIED started doing whatever they could in hopes of helping the recovery effort in even the slightest degree. Now, with their full album "Re:BIRTH" having been released nationally in Japan in January of 2014, RIVIED is aiming to leave their mark on the history of rock music. A hard rock band with all their lyrics in English, they aim to take their music across borders, their music wins you over and will never let you go. RIVIED's songs are built on a balance of logic and emotion, an awesome combination of straightforward impact and an intangible artistic essence.
