Artist Profile

No Fun

No Fun was formed in 2020, mainly by Vo./Gt. Shu Uchida, at the time when the predecessor band Piano Girl went on hiatus. NJ (Gt.), a member of the band at the time, and Takuya Nagatomo (Ba.), who was a member of the band in its early stages, became the prototype for No Fun and began their activities. Under the rock bands concept of "diversity" and "physical music", members joined one after another and the band is now a 10-piece unit comprising guitar, bass, drums, twin percussion, violin, flute, trumpet, saxophone and piano. The bands orchestral punk, which blends the musical roots of all the members and is played on a spectacular scale, has a unique presence. Since its formation, the band has continued to organise the local Kyoto-based event "FUJISO". In addition, in search of more encounters and places to play, they have performed in various places with a lightness of footwork that is hard to believe for such a large band, and in 2023 they made their first overseas performance, an expedition to South Korea. The band performs in a wide range of styles, including acoustic, duo, club events and cycle shop in-store events, regardless of form or location.
