NERDSNERDS is a four-piece urban traditional rock band consisting of shoma (Guitar/Vocal)joe (Guitar) yutata (Bass) and hozumi (Drums). With guitar rock and alternative music at its core, the band fuses the sophistication of city pop, the dynamism of post-rock, and the floating sensation of shoegaze pursuing a unique urban trad rock style where urban sophistication and nostalgia coexist.
The band's name NERDS reflects their nerdy attitude of pursuing music and culture to the hilt. Based in the Tokyo live scene in Shimokitazawa and Shibuya, the band has been selected for the official playlists of Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube Music, and AWA, and continues to expand its listenership in Japan and abroad.
