NekojyujisyaProfile A duo consisting of vocalist Chiami and key player Motohisa.
Formed in August 2004.
Promotes healing music, "healing pops," which is healing through lyrics and singing.
Their music has been well received as warm and tear-jerking.
When vocalist Chiami was 25, she suffered from asthma due to work stress, and began voice training as a form of music therapy.
At the time, key player Motohisa was her voice trainer, and this encounter led to the start of the unit.
Because of this beginning, they have many songs with themes of nature and life, with the goal of "healing the mind and body" through music.
Vocalist Chiami is also a mother of one child, and runs a baby home class called "Neko Mama no Heya."
She is also active as an instructor of baby massage, baby yoga, baby communication, and aromatherapy.
In 2017, they started a series of "Learn Music Clubs," a collaboration between healing pops and baby lessons.
With nature and life as their theme, they create a unique genre called healing pop.
They are searching for music that has a strong core that never gets consumed, and a warm human touch that gently supports the heart.
The unit name "Nekojishisha" is used with the permission of the respected manga artist Nekojishisha.
Origin of the unit name When forming the unit, they decided to incorporate their love of cats and something that influenced them into the unit name.
The first thing they thought of was "Nekojishisha".
As many of you may know, "Nekojishisha" is the name of a manga artist who has created many works such as "A Little Tea Party", "Black Monmon Group", and "The Tale of the Land of Fantasy Beasts".
Chiami was shocked when she encountered "A Little Tea Party" and "Black Monmon Group" at a young age, and it had a great influence on the formation of her own perspective and way of thinking.
And Motohisa was also an avid reader of these works.
For these reasons, we asked Nekojujisha if we could use their name.
About two months later, we received an email from Nekojujisha themselves confirming our request.
Nekojujisha was launched thanks to Nekojujisha's generosity.
