Artist Profile
naoNao is a Tokyo based singer songwriter. Her music centers on acoustic guitar and vocals, blending elements of folk and J pop with dream pop, ambient, and alternative music.
Drawing from small emotions born in her bedroom, moments spent thinking of someone, the quietness of the night, and landscapes that remain in her memory, she transforms these fragments of everyday life into dreamy and subtly melancholic soundscapes. Her music is characterized by lyrics that turn small moments of daily life into stories, a delicate and transparent vocal style, and arrangements that leave space for the imagination of the listener. Through her music, she creates a quiet and immersive experience that gently resonates with the memories and emotions of each listener.
Through Instagram and TikTok, Nao shares acoustic performances and connects with listeners both in Japan and around the world. Her acoustic performances serve as an entry point for audiences to discover her music. She is also expanding her sound through collaborations with arrangers, exploring a broader sonic palette and a deeper sense of atmosphere beyond what can be expressed through voice and guitar alone.
