MUMUMUUnder the names MUCHIO and MU JAPAN MUCHIONOS I have played drums for numerous bands in the Tokyo underground music scene, where I jumped across genres from garage punk and metal to noise grind and progressive rock. On the side I make solo tracks at home, sometimes finishing them, sometimes leaving them unfinished without remorse.
Since 2020 I have been performing as a support drummer for Boris, the Japanese rock band known for their relentless activity overseas. In 2023 I joined them on a European tour that covered more than 20 countries. I then toured in Australia and the United States in 2024, finally making my long held dream of playing drums abroad a reality.
And now, after procrastinating for far too long, I have finally released my solo work under the name MUMUMU.
