MUMU is a Tokyo-based music project launched by Mizuki Aoi, a model and creative director. Originally rooted in band music, MU was drawn to the pure exhilaration of dance music and began exploring its possibilities. Noticing that club culture centered purely on the enjoyment of music remains relatively niche in Japan, MU seeks to contribute to the scene in a way that feels personal and authentic.
Transforming everyday emotions into electronic pop, MU blends fragile vocals with dance-driven beats that move through the night. The sound is intimate yet propulsive - music created not for the crowd, but for solitary moments.
In March 2026, MU released the debut single, "Night Diver."
