"MONKY" Real name: Shinya Ienaga Sax player/composer/arranger from Kobe, Japan. In 1993, he formed the BLACK BOTTOM BRASS BAND in Osaka: a brass band based on the New Orleans style. Their street performance attracted great attention. 1994:Graduated from Osaka College of Music Junior College of Music, Wind Ensemble Course, Jazz Department. 1995: Released the indie album "Black Bottom Brass Band". 1996: He made his major-label debut with Pony Canyon. Since then, he has released six albums from Pony Canyon. 1997: Live performance and recording in New Orleans, which was widely covered by local newspapers and radio broadcasts. 1999: Moved to Tokyo as a base of operations. Moved the record company to Victor and released 6 albums. Established Second Line, Inc. to produce sound sources and events in-house. Released 10 albums from Second Line Records. In addition to live tours and event appearances all over Japan. In addition to performing at live tours and events throughout Japan, he has also performed at various domestic and international rock and jazz festivals such as Fuji Rock, Rising Sun, Summer Sonic, Sunset, Busan International Rock, Durham Brass Festival (UK), Taichung Jazz Festival, etc. They have also provided music for numerous TV commercials and movies, including songs for JRA and UNIQLO commercials. He provided many original songs for BLACK BOTTOM BRASS BAND (BBBB) until his departure in 2019 and released 26 albums under the name of BBBB. 2020: Started solo career.
