Musician and artist from Kokura, Kitakyushu, Japan.
In 2008, while working at a printing factory in Hakata, he began his career as a manga artist under the pen name Mizono Bowfura.
Rooted in a distinctive, cinematic poetic style, he has since written over 300 songs and expanded his work into solo, guitar-based performances.
Originally active in the noise music scene, his recent work has shifted toward acid folk influenced songwriting using a classical (gut-string) guitar.
Known for unconventional performances such as playing music in front of illuminated aquariums his approach freely crosses genres and formats.
Founder of the independent label Kanisanrecord.
Despite his fondness for shrimp and crabs, he suffers from a shellfish allergy an irony that mirrors the absurd and offbeat spirit of his art.
