MANIIAA Tokyo-based German/Japanese duo formed in May 2026.
Formed in May 2026 by vocalist Lu Ru (Germany) and composer Ido Kyo (Japan) who is also known as the bassist of GIRLFRIENDZ.
They began recording within a week of meeting and released their debut single I hate u in the same month.
Rooted in 2000s emo and alternative rock, their sound pushes distortion to the extreme breaking and reconstructing guitars and synthesizers to create a unique sonic identity.
Emotional raw vocals intersect with noisy yet delicate production with the theme of breaking the rules in our mind and existing values.
