LOW-PASS

LOW-PASS is a Japanese instrumental band formed in Kyoto in 2005. After a several member changes, the lineup was completed in April 2010 by 3 members which were formed at the beginning of the band. Their progressive, emotional yet pop songs are m ade by pursuing an ultimate possibility of an instrumental rock music. Their sound expresses their own special instrumental rock sound although a post rock instrumental band is becoming major in these days. They play shows with any genres of domestic and international bands and support the main performance at the concert. They gain support from many bands especially from Kyoto as they also work as an event organizer. August 2009, they released a split CD with a French band; fago.sepia from FriendofMine Records. Then they toured with fago.sepia in 2010 under the name of "Japantour". March 4th 2020, they released their first album "trimurti" from stiffslack. An US cassette tape model of the album "trimurti" was released from KITrecords. The song "landscape" is played in a game app "cytus". September 2013, they released 7"vinyl "MIRROR/ LOW-PASS-split" with MIRROR. The album is consisted by 2 songs each of the bands. April 2020 when it is their 15th anniversary, they released 7"vinyl "WONDERVOGEL ep" from stiffslack. The album contains 3 songs.
