Kemonomichi"Walking with you, where there is no path."
Kemonomichi is a solo music project by Kosei Fujita. Taking on the guise of a beast and keeping his face hidden, Fujita writes the lyrics, composes and arranges the music, performs, and creates the videos.
Rooted in rock and hard rock, the music weaves in the sounds of Celtic and Andean folk. Also drawing on video game music, each song takes on its own texture and rhythm, building a distinct world through melodic vocals and lyrics written like poetry.
The lyrics trace a heart that wavers amid conflict, setbacks, and loss. Beyond the pain and the doubt, the words kindle a faint light.
The beast's guise reflects what it means to be human - to live while carrying contradictory emotions. Fujita embraces those contradictions as part of himself and gives them voice through song.
Kemonomichi began in December 2024 with the original song "Ichiaku no Suna" (A Handful of Sand). Following "my own hero," the project released "Summer Affect" in September 2026.
