Keiko MaruyamaBorn in Saitama Prefecture. Keiko Maruyama made her album debut in 1972 with "Sotto Watashi wa" from Elec Records. In 1973, she began hosting the radio program "Health Folk: Keiko no Sonetto." She performed at the Tokyo Music Festival domestic competition and began nationwide concert and event tours. In 1976, her song "Dōzo Kono Mama" from the album"Tasogare Memory"became an explosive hit, establishing her as one of the pioneering female singer-songwriters in Japan. She received the New Artist Award at the Japan Cable Broadcasting Awards and continued active concert performances nationwide. In addition to her singing career, Maruyama has hosted numerous television and radio programs and released many original albums and singles. Her 2022 album "On Your Side" marked another milestone in her career, alongside many live performances. She has also written songs for other prominent artists, including Momoe Yamaguchi, Hiromi Iwasaki, Junko Sakurada, and Yumi Tanimura, among many others. She is a full member of the Japanese Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers (JASRAC) and the Japan Singers Association.
