Gorilla Matsuries is a three-piece extreme-annoyance super-ultra-pop band from Shiga, Japan. They mainly play instrumental songs using keyboard harmonica and recorder, but recently they have started to touch various instruments and sing. In 2020, the band won the grand prize in the "Yurakucho Uta Tsukuri Keikaku" music contest sponsored by Nippon Broadcasting System to determine the theme song for the Yurakucho district. In June of the same year, "Yurakucho no Uta" was released for distribution. In addition, he has been expanding his activities in various ways, such as producing jingles for Nippon Broadcasting System's podcast program "All Night Nippon Podcast" and for FM Shiga's "style! In December 2021, they produced "KBS Kyoto no Uta," the theme song for the 70th anniversary of KBS Kyoto, and performed it for the first time at the KBS Hall. The song has been used in various programs since then. They have also released two full-length albums on the Tower Records label. Their second album "EXTREME ENNUI SUPER ULTRA POP" released last year was selected as the best album of the year by Kitanitatsuya. This year, Hirano, a member of the group who had been living in Tottori, returned to Shiga, where he has started live performances in earnest. We cannot take our eyes off their future activities!
