Apo:ism-Amid a quirky aesthetic and a sense of playfulness-
This unit is formed around a collaborative project between Kino Kato (vocals, lyrics, guitar)-a singer-songwriter based in Tokyo-and Shizuka Kanata (composition, track production)-a Sapporo-based artist who heads Chameleon Label and is a member of groups such as YAYYAY and Warashand-with recording engineer Ojjy providing support to bring their work to fruition.
Centered around electro, they weave in elements of jazz, R&B, and hip-hop to create a unique groove. Sarcasm and humor, pent-up frustration and playfulness. They wrap serious emotions in lighthearted wordplay, creating sounds that are sometimes lighthearted and other times deeply resonant.
Tiny doses of venom scattered throughout the gaps in the sound, paired with addictive beats.
Apo:ism plays music that makes listeners grin. Following the release of their 2025 single"Stupid "and their 2026 single "Woman" they plan to release their first album by the end of the year!!
