Artist Profile

Takahashi ShinichiComposer Shinichi Takahashi: Profile As a child, an organ unexpectedly arrived in our home, which led me to begin composing at the age of nine. Initially, my compositions were primarily classical-style piano pieces, but from my junior high school days onward, I started writing songs. I also attempted to write orchestral pieces, though I haven't written many. Having been a naturally introverted and sensitive person, I found music to be the language through which I could express my inner self. As I experienced more of society, I also learned to speak with a louder voice. Eventually, I gradually acquired the skill of putting my feelings into lyrics, which led to the creation of songs like "Poppy Love," a piece imbued with deep love and gratitude for my wife. I believe that beauty is paramount in music, and I strive to pursue that beauty in my compositions. Even when creating pieces that depict intense suffering, my aim is not to simply express it through discord, but for listeners to perceive the emotions stirring beneath the surface. I believe this dedication will be profoundly felt in the first movement of my Symphony No. 1, which I hope to release someday. My works are music in which my own views on humanity, life, and the world naturally emerge. I also believe they are the cries of my soul. I sincerely hope that through my music, listeners will experience warmth, joy, deep healing, and happiness in their hearts. It would bring me immense delight if you could shed tears with me in sad moments, feel pain with me in difficult times, and then experience surprise, joy, and happiness. I truly believe that music has the power to free a mind that has been bound by something, leading it towards a brighter, more serene state. My musical journey continues, as I dream of completing my grand symphony and hearing it performed by an orchestra.
