Artist Profile

Hiplin

Hiplin is a talented singer songwriter based in Japan, who shows multi-talents by handling everything from trackmaking and to recording almost entirely on his own. In his own music, he has been developing mellow tracks with the"Hiplin" style, with a sound that takes the genre barrier such as SOUL and RAGGAE with BLACK MUSIC at its core, and is accompanied by lyrics that are life-size and easy to relate to. The songs he sings are created into original pop music that does not question genres, with lyrics that are life-size and easy to relate to, and the sound of BLACK MUSIC such as R&B, REGGAE, BLUES, FUNK, and so on. One of the songs "GROW UP" included in the Demo Mini Album "2 ketsu" released in 2016 caught the ear of GeG, the producer of Hentai Gentlemen's Club, and was newly arranged as an acoustic ver. That arranged song was included in GeG's album "Mellow Mellow ~GeG's Playlist~", which led to Hiplin's name gradually spreading throughout the country. He then joined GeG's "I Gotta Go" released by Goosebumps Music, and with Hiplin & GeG / GROW UP, he quickly jumped into the middle of the hot singer songwriter scene. On November 11, 2020, he released his 1st EP "CHOKING", and the lead song "Kaerimichi (The Way Home)" featured kojikoji, with over 5.8 million views of the music video (as of February, 2023), and the number of views is still growing. And he invited the front man of the popular genre-less unit "Hentai Gentlemen's Club" to make pieces. In June 2021, he released "True Romance?" featuring WILYWNKA, following that, "Days Gone By," a collaboration with VIGORMAN was released too. Hiplin is unstoppable. In July 2021, GeG released "LIFE IS GOOD feat. VIGORMAN, Hiplin, SNEEEZE, Rin ne", a collaboration of artists who will lead the next generation music scene, caused a huge sensation. In 2022, at the end of the year, he launched the superb world view of live performances at fashionable cafes throughout Japan from the Kansai, and is currently holding Cafe Live events under the name of "Cafe Rally.
