Artist Profile
U-KnotA 17-piece jazz large ensemble produced by composer and arranger Yu Kawabata.
Blending a traditional jazz big band sound with instruments primarily associated with classical music-such as string quartet, bassoon, and euphonium-the ensemble creates a truly distinctive and one-of-a-kind musical identity.
In addition to its regular concerts, the group is active in touring performances, festival and event appearances, and educational outreach programs.
In December 2025, the ensemble released its first EP, Rural.
